I got XM radio xpress car kit one. How do I implement in my 2001 Honda Civic?
I received an XM radio with car kit. I a 2001 Honda Civic (4 door). I pulled everything and I'm lost with all the connections. Does anyone has an idea for me?
It depends how you want to connect. You can configure it to drain your car FM frequency using only the XM system itself (Set your radio to the same frequency as the frequency of your XM) or you can but, and connect an antenna adapter. This will require you to take your picture edge a little outside and connect one inspector to your antenna input coming from the back of your stereo. Then you repeat the same steps as the car radio installation I spoke of. The last option is an AUX port, but the 2001 Civic didn't an AUX port so do not worry. Now set up the system itself. You should get every son and how you will execute before starting. You have four main compontents (if doing the installation program to browse unit). 1. XM Radio 2. Power Cable 3. Satellite Antenna 4. You can mount FM antenna XM radio you want by any means. You want the satellite antenna to be mounted preferably on the top the roof near the rear window. It will take more time than you need to take some interior parts out of your car. Then you want to mount FM antenna, you didn't say what you Civic, so I will simply assume Sell has the antenna in the rear windsheild. Place the FM antenna as close to your antenna box (odd search box on your rear windshield). Plug your power cord in your 12V (cigarette lighter) and you're ready to go.
