The Closing

07/27/2006

Well, it’s official. We sold our house today by closing on a deal that was offered to us about three weeks ago. I felt it was a good deal. All the hard work that we poured into that house definitely paid off. I know many of you had a hand in that work and I can’t express enough thanks for the help you provided these past two and a half years.

On Saturday, we move down to Midlothian to live with my Parents for the next six months. The plan right now is to buy new construction. There is this neighborhood not too far from Midlothian Bible Church that offers half-acre lots with nice houses at reasonable prices. We’ve picked out a house we like so far and that is what we are shooting for. Construction would begin in the fall. But who knows with us, the plan can always change.

Overall I am excited at the changes ahead. I never thought I would live in Midlothian, but the price is right and getting out of the ‘burbs has never been so attractive. And Midlothian really isn’t that bad of a place to raise a family. I know I enjoyed growing up there, and hopefully our children will too.

    Matt,

This is Glenn Moore, your neighbor at 201 Ginger. We’ve been in San Antonio all week on vacation. Just got home today (Sunday) and noticed the for sale sign was gone. I searched for info on the internet and found your blog. If you guys moved yesterday and won’t be back, our best wishes to you, Sara, and the new baby. We enjoyed having you as neighbors.

Glenn, Julie, Megan, and Mandy Moore
