Sarah and I flew up to Virginia Beach for Allison Irby’s Wedding and it was the most miserable experience of my life. We left on a Thursday afternoon and on Friday morning, I was laying in my hotel room vomiting with diarrhea coming out the other end.
While Sarah was off doing wedding stuff, I was all alone in a dark hotel room as miserable as could be. Slowly the vomiting escalated until 6:00 pm I was starting to vomit every thirty minutes. I finally called Sarah and she came back and took me to the ER. Sarah dropped me off curb side and then parked the car. I slowly walked into the waiting room and dropped right down to the floor and laid there. A nurse yelled out that “I couldn’t just lay on the ground” and I looked at her and puked in bag I was holding. Sarah then walked in and helped tell the nurse the situation.
I was at the hospital for two more hours and they set me up with an IV and something that felt good and helped me fall asleep. We went back to the hotel that night and I slept like a baby and didn’t vomit any more.
On Saturday I was feeling better. I still had diarrhea that was only liquid, but I could deal with it. I skipped the wedding and took naps all day. Saturday night, Sarah and her friend Cindy and I went out and visited my old houses that I used to live in. We went to bed that night and then all hell broke loose again. I was up every hour with severe explosions of liquid shooting out of me. It was terrible.
Since we were flying out Sunday afternoon, we thought I should go to an Urgent Care to find a solution to plug me up so I could fly home. We found one open on a Sunday morning and luckily there was no wait. They gave me a shot and couple bottles of medicine that made me drowsy and I was good to go.
We made it home Sunday Night at 10:00 after the flight was delayed. We tried to open the garage door and it didn’t work. So I thought the garage door opener battery was dead. I didn’t have a house key on me, so off I went to Wal-mart to find a battery. Came back home and still no luck. The power to the garage door had gone out.
So the only thing left to try was to call our real estate agent (We are selling our house, more on that later) and have him let us in. He was gracious enough to come over at 10:30 on a Sunday night and do just that. And so we crashed. And on Monday, Sarah got a little dose of what I was like as she threw up two times and had diarrhea as well. But now we are back to our regular selves again…
