Back with a new redesign. Since I’m not really a web designer or author, I’ve just gone with a much simpler look, or a “boring” look as my wife called it. But the big part of the re-design was that I switched to Textpattern. I was easily able to transfer my current database over to Textpattern.
For those that don’t know, Textpattern is a content management system. For years I have been using my own handmade PHP content doo-higie. I decided that since I really don’t want to have to keep up with future technologies, it would be easier to just use a system that would be updated for the future as it comes. So I chose textpattern since Mr. Watchtan could answer any questions I had, and he has answered a bunch of questions! Thanks again Brian!
What’s cool about Textpattern is that there is a Search function. If you just go to the Archives page, you can search all of my past entries and browsing links.
Be sure to update your rss readers to the current feed. I have also included my browsing links in the feed.
Now when you are commenting, be sure to use the new rules. This new system strips any html code in your comments, such as links, so you have to use Textpattern’s rules. There is a little link at the bottom of the comment submission form that will help you out if you want to include links, pictures, etc…
As well, an email address is required to post in the comments section. Your address won’t get out to anyone else. It’s just part of the requirements of this new section. You’ll notice that your name in the comments section is now linkable. This link will go to your own website, if you choose to submit that information. If not, links to your email. You can also let the website remember your contact information so that you don’t have to fill it out everytime you want to submit a comment.
Okay, that’s about it.

I like this design much better than the lawn, but I have to admit I was partial to the mountain scene you used briefly before that.
