Christmas Vacation 2005

01/07/2006

Ah. Christmas Vacation. Pictures are now posted on my new Flickr account.

We started out this year by going up to Sarah’s parents house up in Minneapolis. I built this big snowman with Sarah’s brother and then proceeded to build many little snowmen across the street. The theme was the big snowman was calling the little ones across the street and rise out of the ground to a new life. A week later some little punks ended the lives of these snowmen, but they couldn’t destroy the big one.

On Christmas day, we flew out to San Francisco and joined the Mathis’. We roamed around San Francisco the next day and on Tuesday rented an Xterra and drove up to our rental house near the Yosemite Valley for Jason and Melinda Knott’s wedding.

On Wednesday Night, we had the bachelor party. Jason seemed to soak it up with all of the gifts, advice, and of course the stripper. Well not exactly a stripper. Just look at the photo’s.

On Friday, Jason got married in a lovely ceremony and the rest of us just went back to the Rental House and watched the video from our senior year in college over some wine and beer.

On Saturday for New Years Eve, we all drove down to San Francisco and went to Fisherman’s Wharf. Later we stayed in a hotel and watched episodes of “The Office” off of Dan’s video iPod.

On Sunday, we all parted ways and went back home. That’s my short recap of what happened. Basically, it was a really fun time. It was just like to good ole days of college, except this time around we could actually afford to do things and buy things.

For those on the trip, I cherish the times we had. It is always refreshing to hangout as a group once again. Thanks for coming!
